Being able to collect not only from the deck but also from his GY is a great thing for search targets that are highly dependent on combos.
The GY effect doesn't seem to have much meaning when used alone, but if it's an Xyz monster, it can remove materials, and if it's a card with a limited summoning method, it can be removed.
That said, whether or not it's effective as-is is highly dependent on the opponent, so you'll mainly be aiming for combos with Geo Kraken.
I think it will be an important piece to assemble the tactics of Earthbound.
