Mecha Knight can be deployed without depending on the opponent if you set up a monster in the EX zone. Mecha Knights can be used as a Deck if they have the basic blue sky, purple sky, and azure, but if you want another kind of Mekai Knight, it's a candidate. Deploying with only 3 types of Mecha Knights and Gills is less flexible, and you have to think about resources when deploying, but with just one link material, it's pretty easy to turn. This card also destroys his Spell Trap, making it easy to crack Continuous Spells and Grave Wipe. A single card in the first hand is bad, but there are rare occasions when you can get a status that can destroy Baguska in Defense Position.

Spell/Trap destruction is what you want to do before deploying, so it's pretty slow to get this out and remove it. Moreover, only cards in the same column can be destroyed. Even Pure Machine Knights won't be adopted unless they aim for the romantic effect of 《World Legacy Scars》.
