If you use it normally, it will only give you the same ATK as your opponent's monster, so it doesn't make much sense.
However, if he removes the opponent's monster on the next turn, he can keep his ATK.
Or if it is a monster that weakens only when attacked, it will add the ATK of the opponent's monster to itself, which is a big power-up.
The only thing I can think of is "Jester Lord", which eliminates the opponent's monster and nullifies the direct attack of the opponent's monster's ATK + number of Spell/Trap cards x 1000.
After that, you can use a card that chains to this card and raises his ATK greatly, doubling the ATK difference.
