Deck commentary

Playing

This time, I would like to explain Deck about "P (Pendulum): Mist Valley Ninja" because it is the second stage of the style king that goes against the trend.
The concept was to make effective use of P summoning, so I would like to introduce this form that combines his Mist Valley Ninja, which seems to be pleasant to spin.
I'm considering building a game that can compete with the environment to some extent, so I'd appreciate it if people who originally liked Mist Valley would be able to see it. .

Strength

The purpose of this Deck is mainly to use the effect of Gigantic Bird "Returning a card named Mist Valley to the hand to negate the card effect and destroy it" as a trigger, and returning it to the hand. The main point is to use it in P summons.
By doing this, as long as the cards in the Pendulum zone are not destroyed, he will be able to interfere with the opponent's card effects without consuming cards every turn, so it will be possible to attack in accordance with his Pendulum, which is easy to lose cards. .
Since P summoning is treated as a special summon for him, it also plays a role in protecting other monsters that Kyojindori put out in P summoning from abyss and torrent burial. Furthermore, since it also protects cards in the P zone that are easily destroyed during the opponent's turn, I think it's a pretty good matchup.
Combining Pendulum and Kyojindori has various advantages, so we will follow up on aligning the key parts by adopting Ninja and draw acceleration gimmicks.
●How to move
○ Initial action
・Basically, it makes it easier to bring Hanzo to your hand from the draw acceleration gimmick, and utilizes the same movement as his Mist Valley Ninja, summoning → giant bird from transformation search.
When Hanzo didn't show up in the first half, I used Upstart Golden Ninja to get a Rank 4 to keep the field going. (Or set it up and use it on the wall;
・Odd-Eyes in your hand should be placed in the P zone during the initial move to use its search effect. It can be added to the monsters that come out of the extra when P summoning, so it is better to prepare when you can. (Except if you want to keep it in your hand aiming for a draw with a treasure sword.
○ Development
・After using Gigantou from Transform, let's negate the effect of aggressively forming the opponent's chain block.
If you don't return the Giant Godbird to your hand for P summoning as soon as possible after you play it, it can be destroyed in battle by Special Summoned Xyz, Synchro, etc. without using its effect, and if you have a planter in your hand, Because I want to turn the remaining change into a draw method immediately. (Of course, when your hand is not good, carefully check the must counter.
・If you can return the giant godbird with this, there will be no monsters in his Monster zone, so you can satisfy the activation conditions of the time reading P effect, P summon the giant godbird you just returned, and Special Summon it again on the field. It will be possible.
・When preparations for P summoning are complete, place it in the P zone from the time reading.
Since the opponent has a high percentage of stopping when you have completed preparations for P summoning, there is a high percentage of activating Cyclone etc. against the second card the moment you have two cards in the P zone. (Of course, if the opponent knows the cards by strength, etc., put them in the P zone first, starting with the P monsters that are not known. Because the ratio is high, the moment you check the one you didn't see, you will know that the P Summon is possible, and the first one will be destroyed. If so, you can keep the second card in your hand until the other one comes along, so you don't have to put it into play and risk being destroyed.
So let's start with Scale 8, which is essential for P Summoning, and start with Odd-Eyes and Star Reading, which can follow each other even if they are destroyed. (Well, opponents who have used Pendulum know the importance of reading the time, and depending on the overlapping P monsters, the first card to be placed in the P zone will change, so you just need to be aware of it. I think;
・If the effect of Upstart Golden Ninja can be activated before P summoning
"Upstart Golden Ninja" effect → Hanzo ss with the trap in hand as a cost → Hanzo effect, search for the second "Upstart Golden Ninja" from the Deck → P-summon the second "Upstart Golden Ninja" with another level 7
You can call a level 4 x 3 Xyz just by moving in this flow, so you can set up a ruler to create an even stronger lock.
● Playing
・If Hanzo is in your hand when it is possible to perform a P-summon with all the time readings, if you proceed from the Hanzo summoning search, you will not be able to place the time readings in the P-zone, so you will not be able to perform a P-summon.
So, if you want to add as many monsters as you can P Summon with draw cards after compressing the Deck, it's a good idea to first place the Tokiyomi in the Pen Zone and then proceed with the Hanzo Summon.
・If he has Odd-Eyes, Time Reading, and Star Reading cards in his hand, the first card to be placed in the P Zone by P Summoning will be his Odd-Eyes and Time Reading. By doing this, it is possible to P Summon that turn, and during the End Phase, his Odd-Eyes can search for the second Time Reading, so even if the Time Reading left in the Pen Zone during the opponent's turn is destroyed, it will still be in your hand. Since the time reading and star reading are complete, P summoning is possible again.
His Odd-Eyes, which uses the search effect, also goes to Extras, increasing the number of monsters that can be P Summoned, so it's useful to remember how to develop this.
(Odd-Eyes, if you have a hand with two time readings and no star readings, the remaining cards will be time readings, so searching with Odd-Eyes will be star readings. Conversely, Odd-Eyes 2 In the case of one card and one card, Odd-Eyes is left, so the search is time reading.
・Other than the example given in the item above, the P monster searched by Odd-Eyes basically searches for the missing one, but when there is a monster in your field and you still cannot P summon from the time reading. If you have both the Time Reading and the Star Reading in your hand, search for the Time Reading that is essential for the basic level 7 P Summon.
Your opponent knows that the card that is essential for level 7 P summons is reading the time, so it is better to have two copies of this card in the preparation stage because it is easy to be targeted by inevitable chain cycle.
(From this point of view, it's a good idea to place Time Readings first in the P Zone when P Summoning. If, by any chance, a Star Reading, which you only have one copy of, is destroyed by a Chain Cycle, etc., you won't be able to deploy it. Because of this, this method allows you to target your destruction to the time reading, whether you know the importance of the time reading or not.
・If you have 2 Hanzou cards in your hand, or 1 Hanzou card with a Transformation Jutsu, Damrugu may be a good choice to change the first Hanzou to a cost. If this card is out, the opponent will not be able to set, so there is no need to worry about backing, and it will be easier to get a giant bird from another Hanzo on the return turn.
・If Hanzo and the Jutsu of Change come as a set, the search target for Hanzo will change depending on the situation.
Normally, I think you can search for conversions and prepare to bring P monsters to your hand, but if you can predict that your opponent will increase removal cards such as Cyclone in the second match etc. It is also possible to search for the second technique of transformation and set two. (In order to avoid destruction by activating a technique of change that is the opposite of the one selected by the opponent Cyclone.
・Even if Hanzo is in your hand when you P-summon and P-summoning is possible, it is better to Normal Summon this card and use its search effect. Originally, once preparations for the P-summoning were complete, there would be a surplus of summoning rights, so it would be advantageous to use Hanzou's immediate summoning trigger effect to increase the ad.
・When attacking all at once after P summoning, it is safer to attack from the giant godbird by returning the opponent's back or hand trigger to the "attacked" giant godbird and negate it, so you don't waste the number of battles. Earn damage. (Of course, when you see the end of the game, you don't need to be conscious of it.
・Odd-Eyes, which doubles the amount of damage, is good for attacking opponent monsters after the first giant bird attack.
・The priority to remove as a Rank 7 Xyz material is (Damurg -> Giant Bird -> Odd-Eyes).
The reason is simply that Damrugu has a Special Summon method from her GY, and Gigantic Bird can cost Damrugu in hand.
・If Kyojindori and Hanzou or 《Upstart Golden Ninja》are on the field and the Art of Change is set, the timing of the change is when the opponent's card is negate by the Kyojindori effect.
By chaining to the effect of Giant Bird and activating the art of change, you can replace the giant bird that negates the opponent's effect and put out a second giant bird from the Deck, giving your opponent a chance to deploy. You can arrange the place where the second interference can be done without any trouble.
・If both the giant godbird that was played by transformation and the giant godbird that was summoned by P summon are both on the field, use the giant bird that was played by transformation to stop the opponent's card effect.
By doing this, even if you activate the conversion, the giant godbird that was created as a transformation will not be destroyed, and even if the opponent's Cyclone is aiming for the change, you don't need to go out of your way to negate it with the giant bird. lose.
・Giant bird, Simorgh is prioritized for the cost of Treasure Sword and Darkness Deck. At first glance, it seems that it is better not to waste too much because it is used for P summons, but in reality, Odd-Eyes, which can be used for P summons and can also search for P monsters, is in demand.
Therefore, Simorgh is a priority cost candidate for him in Dark Deck, and Gigantic Bird, which has a large number of copies and is easy to return to the hand with negate effect, is a priority cost candidate in Treasure Blade.
・In any case, it is important to use cards that are likely to be searched after compressing the deck, so it is better to pay attention to the order in which you use each draw card.
The order of priority for activating from the hand is (Reinforcement → Hanzo Change Search → 《Upstart Goblin》→ Planter and Conversion → Temptation and Treasure Blade → Armistice → Kyoken).
After the basic search system, activate the draw system card. Reinforcements and Hanzo's summoning effect are searches, so they have the highest priority and stand at the forefront of the initial move. (Of course, there are times when I'm worried about the opponent's back and want to draw Cyclone or Storm from the draw type, and my priorities shift.
Planter and conversion may come out of priority with these two pieces. Conversion can't draw 2 unless all the changes on the front side of the field are destroyed, so if there are already two or more changes on the front side of the field, the planter will take precedence, and if there is only one card, use the conversion as soon as possible. It's better if it's gone. In particular, conversions can be searched from Hanzo, so if you can confirm that one change remains in the field, you can consider searching and using it preferentially.
Temptation and Treasure Sword are near the end because you can't draw unless you use the attacking card as a cost. If you can develop without using it in the end, it is safer to use it when the ad difference in the second half is a little wider, and there is no waste.
Truce also forces the opponent to draw, and since the damage during that turn becomes 0, I put it near the end. (When activating a truce, if damage is likely to be dealt before that, activate it after the battle.
Since you don't know if you can develop it until you draw a draw card, Kyoken, which seals Special Summon, will be the last. Another reason is that in the draw system, if he compresses the deck, he can choose from the top three cards, so it's easier to get the key parts.
・When getting rank 7, try to Xyz with a card other than a giant bird as much as possible. I think it goes without saying, but in this Deck, Kyojindori is "a card that negates the opponent's cards without consuming a card from your hand", so if you use it against Xyz, it will be a valuable interfering means. You will lose one.
When using it as a material, use it only when you want to steal monsters that you can't break through with RBI with Big Eye, or when you want to destroy the effect with Dragosac. (Personally, if Odd-Eyes becomes an Xyz material, Odd-Eyes will not be added to the Extras, so I think it would be better to leave it alone as it is.
Here is the explanation of the card.
Mist Valley Apex Avian》. Since it's level 7, it fits perfectly within the time reading scale, and since it's the same level as Odd-Eyes, it's a monster that can easily be brought to the flow of Xyz from P-summoning.
This card's effect allows you to select yourself as a target for activation conditions, so it works well with Pendulum.
It can't deal with counter traps, so it's a pain to destroy all the P-summoned monsters with one shot, but the explosive power when it's decided is tremendous, so I used 3 copies.
Dark Simorgh》. His 2nd Winged Beast for mutating, and a meta card that is mainly effective against his Artifact and Shaddoll in the current environment.
When P Summoning, you can destroy the opponent's spell by putting it out together with Kyojindori, so you can concentrate on monsters or traps that Negate by Kyojindori.
This card's own Special Summon method allows you to use Giant Bird, so depending on the opponent you fight, even if you have too many Giant Birds in your hand, you won't have an accident.
Treasure sword, it corresponds to temptation, but I felt that it was heavy with three pieces, so I made two pieces.
Odd-Eyes. In addition to searching for P monsters, this card itself is a very useful card that can be used as a scale for P summoning.
Since it will be sent to the extra after the effect when placed in the P zone, in order to effectively utilize it in the P summon, use this card preferentially in the P zone and perform the P summon.
It's level 7 and after P Summoning, it's easy to Xyz Gigantic Bird and Damrugu, and since it's a valuable means of searching for P monsters, I use three copies.
Timegazer Magician》. It is the only P-monster with a scale of 8 that enables the P-summoning of high-level monsters.
When you put it in the P zone, you can't put it out if you have a monster on your field, so you always need to put this card out first as a check before the deployment.
The P effect "When a P monster attacks, the opponent cannot activate a trap until the end of the damage step" can be used mainly when attacking the P summoned Odd-Eyes. Odd-Eyes can no longer trigger traps or quick-play spells when attacking. (Especially, I'm glad that his deck, which is feared for RBI, can be stopped by a severe holy spear.
Stargazer Magician》. Since the scale is 1, level 4 Ninjas can also participate in P summons, and this is also his DARK, which can be used as a cost for temptation.
Since it's level 5, it can't be used as a wall, so it hurts more when you stack cards in your hand than if you read the stars. I thought so, so I'm hiring.
Since it is indispensable as a key part for both time reading and star reading, we adopted three pieces each.
Ninja Master Hanzo. It is the key card of this Deck, as it is the search for change, the 《Upstart Golden Ninja》search during Special Summon.
I don't think it needs any explanation, especially since it's a use that's no different from a normal Mist Valley Ninja.
Of course, three pieces are adopted.
Upstart Golden Ninja》. It's a monster that used traps as a cost to summon Hanzo and made it easier for me to reach Rank 4.
In fact, I think Hanzo alone will be able to turn this frame around by making his Goblin, who is not a novice, but in terms of responsiveness and increasing his DEF, it would be better to have a composition that can always aim for Rank 4. I have adopted this card because I thought it would lead to the stability of
In addition, if the transformation comes alone, it can be used as a cost for Rank 4, and it can also be used to prevent the floating transformation from spoiling after Hanzo at the time of summoning is removed by abyss etc. , I think that it is recommended to increase Ninja.
Two copies are fine, but if you want him to participate in a P-summon, it's better to have a lot of him in the deck, so three copies are used.
"Magic Planter" has the role of returning itself to the hand with the giant bird effect that is played as a transformation, and turning the transformation that remains on the field into a draw.
In addition, meta cards that are inserted from the side are often permanent trap cards, so you can use it to draw meta cards only on your opponent's turn and draw them on your turn.
When I played it, even two copies were enough to get me into my hand, so I decided to limit myself to this number.
gold conversion. If you already have Hanzo and a change in your hand, it's a card that you mainly search from Hanzo, and it's a card because you wanted to use at least one reliable draw aid.
When using it, let's activate it before two or more changes become face-up.
Sacred Sword of Seven Stars》. It works well with Gigantic Bird, which returns to the hand after its effect, and it works well with this deck, which has a unified main force of level 7.
Since he can only activate one copy per turn, it's fine to use a pin, but considering his deck turnover rate, I wanted to reduce the number of patterns where he couldn't move in the first hand, so I decided to use two full copies.
One Day of Peace》is already a template card for his Deck, which has explosive power like Laval and draw-type Dark World, so it was adopted.
Due to the nature of letting the opponent draw, there is a high possibility that you will send salt to the opponent even if you can't expect to develop even if you draw 1, or if you activate it after you have activated Kyoken. , In this case, it is better to activate it safely on the return turn.
Allure of Darkness》. It is a valuable draw source adoption.
The order of cost priority is (Damurg → Time Reading or Star Reading → Odd-Eyes → Hanzo). If you have 2 or more cards in your hand, you can use that card as the cost, but Odd-Eyes only can increase the number of monsters you can summon, and it also supports treasure swords. I think it's better not to use it as a cost.
Pot of Duality》. Once you're ready for the P summon, you'll miss the opportunity to activate it because you'll be doing a Special Summon of giant godbirds every turn, but considering the stability in the early stages, it seems that drawing assistance alone isn't enough. I liked it, so I used two.
In fact, in most cases, the first move ends with just summoning Hanzou, so if you can add a card to your hand in addition to the transformation search, I think you'll see room for adoption.
The only way to remove spell traps is a single tempest. In fact, Cyclone may be better because it tends to leave permanent traps in the field, but after all, I wanted a card that can remove the opponent's back all at once when the turn where I can't move overlaps, so I adopted it. bottom.
Compulsory Evacuation Device》. Basic bounce is used because it is always used as an effective removal method in any era. (Mostly he's thinking of Shaddoll;
You can also use this card to reuse the Hanzou that was played with 《Upstart Golden Ninja》if it was negate by Veiler. After that, it is also a strength that you can avoid the removal that was put on the chain with the effect of Giant God Bird while returning it to your hand.
Basically, if you use Giant Godbird, you can only break through with RBI, so there will be more scenes where monsters come out from the opponent's extras, so I have three cards that can be remarkably added.
Fiendish Chain》. It protects you from his fast-acting deck, and since it's a permanent trap, you can turn it into an add with a planter on this turn.
Considering the environment, I feel that Breakthrough is better, but there were games where I cried because I couldn't protect myself from the opponent's attack, so I used three copies of this card.
art of change. Basically, try to activate it during your opponent's draw phase, so you don't miss the timing to return the giant bird.
When using this face-up card as a draw aid such as a planter, you must always be conscious of activating the effect of Giant Divine Bird. If you haven't used the effect yet, I think it's better to attack as it is.
It's the heart of this Deck, so it's three.
Rank 7 uses these two cards that can be used safely. Dragosak also has WIND, so it can also be evaluated in terms of Damurg support.
Tyrus is a card that is used to keep an attacking hand even if the star reading overlaps in the hand when he is P-summoned with Odd-Eyes and the time reading.
The same can be said for reading the time here, but since there aren't many monsters that are strong as an offensive player at rank 3, rank 5 is prioritized this time.
Kangolgome. After P summoning, it will play a role in protecting the cards in the P zone. It is a monster that is difficult to remove if there is a way to stop the attack as a connection in the first half, so it is also a good wall.
Laguna Zero, Gandeva, and Abyss are cards that are mainly used together with P-summoned Giant Godbirds to increase the locking power of a particular deck.
In particular, Gandeva can be used alone in the early game, so it seems that there is more demand than putting in a giant hand with 2100 RBI.
shock ruler. It is a rank 4 that can be obtained by deploying level 4 x 3 explained in the deployment method above. If you can get Giant Bird out, you can say that it's locked enough, so I think you can change cards as you like here.
Ark Knight, Castell, and Butte are safe to hire. Among them, Castor is his WIND in rank 4, and he sometimes removes the opponent's meta cards such as permanent traps.
Direwolf. If there is a monster on the field, you can't place Time Reading on the P-thorn, and you can't P-summon him.
This card also destroys the opponent's permanent traps and other meta cards, and after destroying the opponent's back with this card, it is possible to develop a certain degree of safety.
Rhapsody in Berserk. It's an excellent card that supports the RBI while using his opponent's GY. With this card, you can remove up to two of his opponent's GY, so in his deck using GY, the game is usually decided the moment this card's effect succeeds.
In terms of RBI support, it's limited to Xyz, so it's a good idea to equip this card, which has no materials, on a P-summoned Level 7 and Rank 7 Dragosac.
Gunman. RBI. If you want to simply earn damage, you need Blade Heart, and Excalibur, which can be used as a hit point like Gunman, will be just vanilla if the effect is negate, so I don't use it.
Breaking through the basic RBI with RBI can only happen with monsters that can only be destroyed in battle, so in that case Gunman, who has a variety of effects even if he is negate and vanilla, is more convenient. I made a decision.

Weakness

Weak point
Deck Genres: Evilswarm, Dragon Ruler
Single Cards: Cyclone, Veiler, General Traps
Other Deck Tendencies: His deck is fast, high RBI
I think it's fair to say that he's not good at traps in general, because it's a pain to stop the first Hanzo, because it applies to him even if he fights Deck.
From the perspective of the Deck genre, he is picking Evilswarm, but decks that are fast-acting (Dragon Ruler, etc.) that bring out monsters that exceed 2700 RBI such as giant bird from the first attack are tough overall. .
In particular, Cyclone and Veiler are really hard to deal with.I think that if the Artifact rises and the environment where it is difficult to enter these two types continues, I will be able to fight well; I pray that it will not be used so much because there is.
●Side
This is the side that is conscious of the items mentioned above and the environment.
Originally, Damrugu was the main presence, and since he's set up a meta around Shaddoll and Artifact, I'll mainly add cards to protect the development up to that point and cards to support the meta on the side.
Cyclone 3
holy spear 2
Dimensional Fissure》3
macro cosmos 2
Light-Imprisoning Mirror》3
Anti-Spell Fragrance》2
Cyclone is mainly to remove the meta in the opponent's permanent trap. Especially since Shaddoll is rampant, there is a high possibility that the opponent will use the Dark Mirror on the side, so it is useful as a way to avoid Hanzo and Damurg being unusable.
The Holy Spear is a RBI support, and I thought about using it in combination with Cyclone to increase the success rate of the first Hanzo effect.
Rift and Macro Cosmos are rare in the current environment and he is a good match for this deck that can fight without relying on GY. It goes without saying that it sticks to his trendy decks (Artifact, Shaddoll, Satellarknight), and since it is easy to turn the must counter, you can also use other transformations and destruction cards that you can use for P monsters here.
By the way, the reason why the Rift is 3 and the Macro Cosmos is 2 is that if you simply activate it on your turn when you hit an Artifact, you will definitely let the opponent use the Mast Counter and activate the Moralta and Movement from Theosophy. The first reason is that there is a strength in the Spell rift that can do things, but Macro Cosmos also excludes Spell traps by nature, so if you can't send it to GY, you can't draw. Because it will be stored away.
(With this, Macro Cosmos won't be able to add other permanent traps, so the number of cards is 2, giving priority to rifts.
Needless to say, 《Light-Imprisoning Mirror》is the main meta for the LIGHT-biased environment. In particular, since it is not subject to strange restrictions like macros, I think that this card can be changed to an add with a planter if it can only be immobilized during the opponent's turn.
(Basically, the trick to building a side in this deck is to prioritize the meta of permanent traps to make it easier to get ads from planters.
Anti-Spell Fragrance》is a double-edged sword because you can't place a P monster in your P zone while it's active, but on the contrary, if it's already in your P zone, it becomes a shield that can protect you from the opponent's Cyclone. Therefore, I thought that this would be more compatible with Damurg than putting Imperial Custom in it.
(In particular, Imperial Custom protects the opponent's permanent trap meta and has the danger of strangling you, so I think this card is more suitable for this deck.

Customize

●Customization
○Ratio of cards
・I think that the number ratio of 《Upstart Golden Ninja》, Treasure Sword, 《Magic Planter》, and Traps varies depending on the individual.
Since you can only activate one card per turn, you can use only one treasure sword and increase the number of planters. such as hiring.
Personally, I think his Pendulum is easy to break, so I think it's important to have a quick effect, so I think it's desirable to give priority to increasing the turnover rate of the Deck and create a structure that will have a follow-up even if it is destroyed. increase. That's why I chose the current build with two Treasure Swords.
○Recommended card
・The fast-footed hippopotamus Barychytherium. It can be recommended as a card that makes it easier to get Rank 4 with his WIND that supports Damurg. The disadvantage of letting the opponent make a monster his Special Summon is painful, but depending on the development after that, you can steal the monster from the P Summon with Big Eye, so it might be quite interesting.
・ T.G. Stryker. The downside of this deck is that if you have too many star readings and time readings other than Odd-Eyes in your hand, there is no way to deploy them, so you can't move and you will be killed.
In order to alleviate this to some extent, by inserting this card that supports reinforcement with a tuner that can special summon, the number of ways to deploy by synchro will increase, so the time reading will be able to be used even from his normal summon.
(If you want to use it, it would be good to use a level 5 Synchro with Normal Summoned Time Reading, and a Level 7 Synchro that can lead to Rank 7 Xyz with P Summoned Star Reading as an Extra.
・ Ninjitsu A technique of super transformation. The ability is still alive as a Ninja version of Degraded Super Fusion, and in this Deck, you can use this card to call his Odd-Eyes, so you can attack by itself or collect it by escaping and use it as a card to put in the P zone. .
If I were to include one, I think it would be appropriate to include one in the sense that it would increase the number of search sources for Hanzo.
●Summary
I think that the winning rate is quite high when the feeling of spinning is decided, so I thought that it was a genre that I could really feel that "I won using the Pendulum".
If I were a little greedy, I would like a P monster with a Warrior scale of 8 as soon as possible. . "I'd like to include one as a reinforcement target; (why Flash Knight is a scale 7..
In addition, if a monster with a scale of 9 or higher appears, Garudonics can also be used, so even if the spell of change that you set is targeted by the opponent's Cyclone, you can chain it and select Gard to destroy it. Since it will be possible to revive, it will be possible to give it a place. (It would be impossible if Cyclone was chained to the activated change..
It's been a long time, but with this he would like to finish his deck introduction with Pendulum explanation.
Recently, it's rare to see his deck using a Pendulum, so I hope that more people will take an interest in P-summoning. . See you soon. .
