It's easier to search than before, and it's easier to procure high-ATK ancient machines, so usability itself has improved greatly thanks to the increase in the card pool.
Ancient Machine Magic/Trap also has cards that require no monsters to exist on the field, so it's a good matchup in that respect as well.
However, it consumes a lot of power, so if you want to use it effectively, it is desirable to destroy a large one, so all the more so.
In the first place, Ancient Machine is a beatdown that makes full use of the basic superlatives, so it tends to be avoided to adopt such a card.
It's useable in the final phase and it's never weak, but if there's space to use it, there are certainly other cards that should be used.
I can't deny the opinion that even one point won't change if it's not practical.
