It works well with Apprentice Magician, which can revive low-level spell users and can be recruited face-down, and can be used quite a number of times.
However, as already said, the neck is that it is difficult to use with reverse, late resurrection, and initial movement. The feeling of powerlessness is undeniable.

Even though it's a reverse, it's nice to be revived with a lower spell.
Magicon that can be used twice with Spell, Necro that can be revived by raising the level of those that require Spellbook, and tough ones,
It's not as bad as a resurrection card that comes in handy when paired with Apprentice Magician.
