Overall evaluation: It is good to quickly put it on his GY and use it as a link material from self-regeneration.
If anything other than WATER is in his GY, he can't use it, so he tends to tie up his deck, including hand triggers.
If he puts it in GY or adjusts GY before the hand trigger comes, it's fine.
However, it's not much different from creating a token by placing "Crystron Rosenix" in his GY, and the fact that it's a tuner doesn't seem to be very useful at level 1.
Even considering using it as an Xyz material, there is no Rank 1 water in the first place.
Luckily, there is a route to expand it with 《Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth》and use it as a Synchro Material, then self-regenerate and utilize it.

There are no monsters that you can get out of a low-ranking gradle and this one. Therefore, you will need to use level 4 or 2 gradle cards.
However, if it's level 4 and this, there's only about Gishilnodon, so basically two Graydles are good.
With 2 Gradles, you have Gungnir. heavy consumption.
