However, the spells that can be negate are only his spell cards that target monsters on the field, and there are very few types of cards that can be blocked no matter what his deck is against.
I'm a big fan of the Spell negate effect, but I've never used it, and I don't even remember thinking it was good.
It's not that cheap doesn't mean anything, and taking up space in the deck to store unusable cards is also a cost.
