Comprehensive evaluation: Most cards have magic counters if spell cards are used.
There are few cards other than his Spell card that have a magic counter on them, limited to 《Breaker the Magical Warrior》, 《Arcanite Magician》and 《Power of the Guardians》.
If it's one, you can put it on with 《Spell Power Grasp》, and when there are multiple of them, the effect finally becomes meaningful.

《Apprentice Magician》itself can be countered with Flip Summon, so if you want to use this card, I would like you to at least put it on two or more cards at the same time.

The effect itself is rather weak.
It is difficult to adopt even if it is only for recruiting from 《Apprentice Magician》.
Even if you put one on a card that doesn't have a magic counter by activating a spell, you have Spell Power Grasp and Apprentice Magician, so your position is pretty narrow.
If you have multiple cards that don't get magic counters when the spell is activated, this effect may be advantageous, but the activation of the effect is one tempo slow, so this card can be a hindrance.
