Because there are more attractions, I think that it can be said that this one is generally superior.
Since the trigger of the effect is left to other effects and the opponent chooses and discards it, it may backfire, but in general, send a low-grade monster from the main deck, which does not bounce to the hand much, to his GY. There is a possibility that it can be done depending on the situation, but it is not bad.
If it bounces to your hand, you will discard your hand, so if you take advantage of the fact that the effect does not have turn 1, you can use 《Lightserpent》or 《Begone, Knave!》to bring it into the loop.
Also, for his Sphinx, which does not have any low-level monsters at the time of evaluation, the Sphinx that is easy to put out directly affects the difficulty of his Special Summon of Exxod, Master of The Guard, so it is a reason to choose him as his Sphinx.
