The problem is that even as of 2017, he has very little Fiend support. Although support from monsters is increasing, it lacks versatility, and as far as spells and traps, there are only Sinister Yorishiro practical ones.
Fiend monsters themselves are often powerful, so there are restrictions that cannot be revived. However, his Special Summon from outside of GY is not restricted in any way, so this disadvantage is now minor. Even if it falls to GY, you can collect it in your hand or remove it and return it.
Although they are excellent in general, the bottleneck is that the Fiends have little benefit from unifying their races.

The problem is that many unions have low ATK. There is no meaning unless you use a union with a certain amount of ATK, such as a cavalry dragon or 《Machina Gearframe》.
Monsters that can equip Union also have difficulty with his ATK, mainly early ones.
If you use it, the newer Union is the best, but even Dark Sword & Cavalry Dragon is 1800 and 2000, so you can expect it to be relatively cheap. If you can attack directly, you can blow away 6500 LP, so I'd like to aim for it.
The two in the illustration have low ATK, so compatibility is bad.
Don't forget that if you're already equipped that turn, re-equip Union in Main Phase 2 to reduce the chances.
It doesn't make sense if the RBI of the two monsters is low, but depending on how you use it, you can play an active role. It is also interesting to use it when the opponent's field is empty to decide the finish.
