The attack restraint effect still protects only Xyz, and the cost is less than the cost and target specified, rather than the inefficiency of Depth Amulet, which only negates the attack once by cutting Terranite in the hand. In the first place, Terranite Xyz Monster has a lot of insurance when it dies, so there's little need to desperately protect it with such an inefficient card, and it's completely rotten without Xyz.
