If you pay the same cost, "D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation" is faster. This has the advantage of being able to use the reverse effect, and the advantage of not being disturbed by chain cycle etc., but honestly it's not much of an advantage. Moreover, 《Storm Dragon's Return》, which can be revived from exclusion at no cost, has appeared, and the shoulders have become even narrower.

Perhaps because of Strak's reprints, it's a card that can be seen as an adjusted version of 《Return from the Different Dimension》.
First of all, it requires a strict cost that is on par with DDR or more than removing one card from your hand. For that reason, it's better to use it in his removal-based deck rather than a general return card.
Also, the card that returns is set face-down, and since it is a trap, it has a strong peculiarity even considering that it can be activated during the opponent's turn.
He has Shaddoll in reverse themes with 《Allure of Darkness》and Damned, and since they are also fusion themes, they go well together, and may be included in a nearly pure construction.
Speaking of exclusion and fusion themes, we have Ritual Beast and Sandra, but you probably won't need them since they have their own Return Quick-Play Spells and Exclusion Zone Fusion Spells.

Shaddoll might be able to use him with Allure of Darkness without difficulty.
