It's OK to search for 2 or less, but even in that case, the number of cards that return the cost is still 3, so even if you search for 3, you still lose 1 ad, so you want to search for cards that make sense to bring 3 at once.
There aren't many monsters that I want to bring that far, but unlike when it first came out, Honest has been relaxed from a limit to unlimited, so it may be time to use Honest in a kill combo.
