It is suitable for defeating large monsters with high ATK but low DEF in battle, and because of its nature of being able to prevent interception with combat tricks, Lily, who had trouble with Kaiba in the anime DM Noa. It is impressive that Jonouchi used it to seal the ability.
Unlike the defensive lock, the rarity is normal and consistent from the first appearance, but I liked this one that leads to breakthrough when inferior rather than the defensive lock where he goes to get LP when he is superior.
Well, back then there weren't any monsters that were immune to effect destruction, so it would have been quicker to remove them with cracks in the ground or 《Tribute to The Doomed》instead of thunderbolts or black holes...
Even the effect on battle position alone is of less value now that there are more useful spells of his, such as Enekon and Book of the Moon.

Since there is only face-up, you can use Defense Position over there as well.
That one is a Quick-Play Spell, so it can even cancel attacks.

Rather than saying "attack blocking", it's better to say "defensive force". Since it's your turn, you can't attack in the first place, and what you do is intercept. 《Enemy Controller》is enough for now, and it can't be used against a Link Monster without a Defense Position in the first place. A sad card that is not used in the Yu-Gi-Oh original, unlike 《Defense Seal》.

It's an easy-to-understand name card, but it can't stop the attack itself. In terms of performance, the card is already unreasonable.
There are cards that can be used in a wider range, such as Enekon and Book of the Moon, and changing the battle position by consuming one card that can only be used during your turn is not worth it.
The battle position change card itself has become tougher with the appearance of Link, so it won't be a substitute for use unless you have some kind of passion.

I used to use it in the early days. At that time, it was better to include removal cards such as Trap Hole, Plunder, and 《Change of Heart》, so I stopped using them.
Plunder, Change of Heart, is banned as of April 2019 and probably won't come back in the future, but with the increase in removal cards, I won't be using this card. The effect is not weak.
