Noble Knight Recruit itself is strong, but it hurts that Noble Knight is tied to the effect activation. It's also hard to turn to activate instead of after the effect is activated. Not only can it not be mixed up, but when Merlin's effect is destroyed by Friche, you can't follow up with resurrection cards such as Monster Reborn, because Merlin himself isn't a Noble Knight.
The current final destination of Merlin's deployment is something like Isolde + Artorius or Charles
