Although it can be deployed while blocking attacks, the activation conditions are strict and it can only block attacks once, so there is no point in being chased.
It's much easier to do things like dodge all attacks with Waboku and then deploy on your own turn.

The only thing I can do after declaring a direct is Special Summon a Deformer from my hand.
In most cases, even if you use a deformer with a low status in that state, it won't do anything.
If it's just for deployment, it's better to use a barrier system like Double Summon for defense.
