Self-buffing is not a Ghostrick "monster", but a Ghostrick "card", so not only field spells, but also permanents such as knights and role shifts count. 200 is a low rate of increase, but the final rate of increase is quite high due to the large number of cards to be covered.
Also, even if it is destroyed in battle, he can salvage the Ghostrick card with the effect of sending it to GY, so there is no gap.
