In today's environment where there aren't many decks that don't use Special Summon, this is a pretty sticky card. If ATK is halved, it will be difficult for even low-level "Ninja" to break through in battle. The effect won't be applied if "Ninja" isn't in play, but it works great with "Crimson Shadow", which can grant destruction resistance. It can also cover a slightly lower RBI, making it an effective support.

There are only a few Decks that don't call large monsters with Special Summon, and many Decks are indebted to Special Summon when summoning trump cards.
It can be weakened by exhausting them, and the first shot can be used with a slight contraction, so the level of surprise is not bad.
It's lacking in that it doesn't completely block, and it's pretty weak against removal, but that's where Crimson Shadow shines. Even this usually unreliable creature should become a threatening fortress under this card.
