Cards in the P zone are also counted, so if you use Defense Position, the 1600 defensive power is null.
Furthermore, it can be used as a substitute, and if you have 《Verdant Sanctuary》, you can search level 4 as well.
That said, if you're going to use his level 4 Insect, it's better to deploy it instead of using it as a scapegoat.

When there was a separate Pendulum zone, the maximum was 5800, and even lightning could be repelled, but now 4600 is the highest. In the first place, there is no reason to attack easily in such a situation, so about 2500 is a good point. In that case, it can only block low-level monsters, so even Aztecs can expect much more reflected damage. Insect monster's scapegoat effect is probably not worth the effort.

However, you have to be face-up to use the scapegoat effect, so you want to use Normal Summon. In that case, there is a high possibility that the precious defensive power cannot be used, and the opponent will be able to take countermeasures.
The defensive power is also unstable and the initial value is low, and with this spec, I want 3 face-up cards.
Above all, in an inflationary environment, even with 3 or 4 cards, this level of defensive power can easily be broken through...
