The effect of Defense Position is not resistant to itself, so it tends to be destroyed in order from there.
I think it's better to prepare with a link summon than defending this card.
It is possible to increase it with 《Machine Duplication》and grant resistance to each other.

Combat resistance when defending is honestly a bonus level effect because it does not target itself and the increase in removal.
