(1) is a name change in field GY. It has both pros and cons of becoming 《Fallen of Albaz》and being able to make use of its support card, but being out of The Bystial and not being that support.

"The Bystial" Albert, who claims to be "Fallen of Albaz". While he has the name Beast of the Abyss, he doesn't have the Special Summon co-effect (although that's nice for a light/dark player).
If the opponent uses a Dragon, the effect of (2) will be more than enough, but the original «Albus» will probably be better in terms of ease of use of fusion materials and effects. I want to differentiate myself as a tuner.
