His Equip Spell is a peculiar one that doesn't give any benefit to the equipped monster.
If you read only the old text posted on this site, you can take it as an effect that gives target resistance to opponent's effects to monsters on the field other than the monster equipped with this card.
Since this effect extends to monsters on each other's field, the opponent will not only be able to use effects that remove monsters on this side, but also will not be able to use effects that target monsters on their own field. There is, but I still feel unsatisfactory considering that the equipped monster and this card itself are completely defenseless.
However, when it was reprinted in the era when the text was maintained, it was specified that the opponent could not interfere with effects that target each other's GY/excluded monsters, so this card originally had it. The peculiarity of Necrovalley has become widely known to the world.
In short, I can activate 《Monster Reborn》and 《Called by the Grave》on GY monsters as I please, but I don’t want my opponent to do that at all. Therefore, I feel that it is a card that has the potential to attract attention even at the environmental level at some opportunity.
