Changing the battle position can be easily fulfilled by Murei, his Karakuri Toad effect, or his own recruit effect to bring in his Karakuri staff.
If anything, since it is a common effect of lower-class Karakuri, it will also activate when changing the battle position during battle, so you can indirectly protect the lower-class Karakuri. (It's rare to see a lot of large and low class lined up on the Karakuri Deck...)
Basically, if it's your turn, I think he'll try to eliminate him by changing his battle position with Karakuri Toad, and if it's your opponent's turn, he'll try to eliminate him.
The Karakuri Deck isn't as good as Jund, but since it's easy to line up large synchros, if you can place a Shoei on the side, you can use the GY effect of Karakuri Toad to get one in Muji, and since the Toad is banished, the field and GY are one in the Shoei.
