This card is exactly like Keith's exclusive field, helping DARK/Machine monster battles and Special Summon. This card is reliable against high RBI opponents who have resistance that even Desperado can't deal with because it gives him the amount of ATK that is lacking.
However, Desperado can use its removal effect in the battle phase, so it's a card that doesn't have much risk of being destroyed in battle. Its biggest weakness is rather main phase removal, which the card can't protect against. Isn't it a place where you wanted target resistance and destruction resistance rather than combat resistance? Well, it's good for protecting his other DARK Machines...
