I think it's great that his Pendulum effect prevents him from activating spells other than "Amorphage". I think it's also excellent that he can interfere with Pendulum Summon because he can't put cards on Pzo.
I don't think the maintenance cost will be a problem either, as long as it's connected to the search for 《Amorphage Infection》, you can reuse it if it's a P monster that fits the scale.
