It has a deployment effect, and in addition to its high defensive power, it has improved combat resistance and reliability as a wall during turn 1.
It's just not an era where you can easily put a wall on the inflation of removal.
In that case, it is basic to make use of the expansion effect to make it a material personnel, but there are many level 6s that can be issued under lighter conditions.
It's not that there's no originality, but it's not enough to change the priority.
It feels like a heavy summoning condition for the effect, and overall it's a delicate performance.

Is it reasonable to think of it as a level 6 monster that can be Special Summoned because its only real effect is combat resistance? But even so, there is a level 6 that is easier to Special Summon, so there is little point in including this perishable card.

I wonder why this guy got a remake...
In addition to his own effects, which are rare in Lightray, he is a monster that can be Special Summoned, but the essential effects are not good.
It is unlikely that you will be in Attack Position with this RBI, and if you are in Defense Position, you will not appreciate the combat destruction resistance with this defensive power.
Special Summon conditions are the same as Sorcerer, but the conditions are strict considering the effect of this card.
It's pretty painful that the race is also covered.

Neo Madol for his Lightray series overseas. Even I can't understand Madol's mysterious popularity...
It's easy to put out, but it doesn't make sense to add battle destruction resistance to a wall monster with 3000 defense...
Even if you look at it as a level 6 Spellcaster that is easy to put out, there is a sorcerer as an opponent...
There's a niche demand for his Spellcaster level 6 that can be deployed at no cost, but when will that get noticed?

It's not bad, but since Lightray Sorcerer has the same Special Summon conditions, attributes, races, and levels, we need to take advantage of the fact that there are no restrictions on Normal Summons or other Special Summons. Lightray Sorcerer walls are thick.
This can be Special Summoned outside of its own effects, but if you ask me if I'd incorporate it into a Deck that can easily incorporate it, I'm not sure if it's worth it.
It's less likely to cause an accident than a Sorcerer, but even if you use it in a pinch, it doesn't deal with effect destruction, so it's not very reliable.
You can aim for rank 6 Xyz, but if you do so, the wall of Diabolic Guy and Topheni Dragon will be thick. Although there is a personality in being a spell user.
If you're going to use it for the time being, you'll want to decide whether to use it as your own effect or something else.

I never thought that Neo Aqua Madol would be remade... 3000 defense is an excellent wall, and along with Lightray and Sorcerer, you can become a rank 6 and Spellcaster-bound magician gal or Fuuki Jingu Norito (not yet in Japan). Although it has strengths, I feel that the once-per-turn battle destruction resistance and high defensive power do not mesh well.

The idea of remaking Madol...
Lightray has high performance as a wall and can target Normal Summon and his normal Special Summon.
If you use the Special Summon effect alone, there is absolutely no part that can beat the Sorcerer, so you will use it together from the parts that match the level and race, taking advantage of this lightness.
Still, the card power itself is quite low. Even as a wall, it doesn't have any resistance to effect destruction...
