It's probably designed to serve as both defense and attack deterrence or guidance, but there are relatively many ways to prevent attacks such as reconciliation, intimidation, and shielding swords, and the premise of two monsters lined up is quite complicated.
On the other hand, 《Staunch Defender》can do almost the same thing when used as an attack lure.
Since it is a Continuous Trap, it is vulnerable to removal, and if you do not adjust the monsters that are deployed, it will not be the intended attack induction or defense, so overall the impression is that you can make it in time.
