It's a relatively good and versatile combination, so depending on the combo, it still has specs that can be used while being differentiated from other cards.
Since it's a Sacrifice Escape that's treated as a cost, if you can chain it to a monster's effect like Alien Telepath and activate it, you can avoid obstacles like Effect Veiler and Skill Drain due to the timing of resolution. You can aim for further removal while passing the removal effect.
Also, since it "destroys only one of his spell traps from all fields", the risk of it being corrupted without being able to activate it as a Sacrifice Escape is low, and in that respect it can be regarded as a highly reliable card.
In addition to the above, since the effect itself is "Mystical Space Typhoon", it can also be used to destroy Artifact-type cards by itself, or chain to the activation of opponent's permanent cards to make them misfire.
I would like to believe that the illustration is the scene where Flying Saucer Muusik'i is used toward the atmosphere with this card as a target.

At the time of its introduction, Psych was the limit, but it still had the existence of 《Dust Tornado》, so it was as good as dead from the beginning.

Not cost effective. To be frank, it's not worth it to remind me of Hasamiuchi.
And Alien doesn't have deployment power, so this cost is very painful.
In addition, there is a too powerful rival called Offering to the Snake Deity that can destroy 2 cards regardless of type under the same conditions, so it is impossible to use this card.
Although this one appeared much earlier, it would be difficult to adopt from the beginning if it was inferior to Cyclone and Dust Tornado in performance.
Moreover, the muskie in the illustration cannot be used as a cost. Could it be a performance error?
At this cost, it seems that destroying all of his spells and traps will be enough.

Not only is it inferior to "Cyclone" and "Dust Tornado", but it also has "Offering to the Snake Deity" for Reptile-only support, so there is no need for this card.

Also, even if 《Offering to the Snake Deity》didn't exist in this world, it wouldn't make much sense to use Alien as a cost, and it would end up being compared to something like 《Dust Tornado》.
