Unfortunately, he's also the least practical Gladiator Beast weapon.
Spell / Trap destruction itself is certainly necessary in his Gladiator Beast category, but as others have said, the timing and conditions for applying the effect do not mesh with the effect itself at all.
By attacking and at the end of the damage step, he's past the point where he wants to get rid of spells and traps.
Basically he wants Gladiator Beast to get rid of his spells/removals before he goes into combat. On top of that, there is no effect such as increasing ATK, and with this only effect, it can be said that there is no option to use this card.
To be honest, it's a kind of card that can't be helped without some kind of adjustment.

Comprehensive evaluation: It is better to divide by 《Gladiator Beast Gyzarus》first.
Even if there is a possibility that it will be caught in the deployment obstruction, it is better to break it during the main phase.
If you have 《Gladiator Beast Dragases》, it is excellent in that you can destroy it while blocking its activation, but if you say that it is a merit to go out of your way to do so, I can't help it.

Attacking and removing demons/traps is an anachronism. Even considering that it can be reused, Vestro and Gaiza are in time.
In addition to Gladiator Beast, there are a lot of other cards that are more useful against magic and traps, so I think this card is completely out of scope. Well, it's the same with all fighting equipment.

Whirlwind sword for Gladiator Beast.
