A simple effect that turns your monster face up. He can't Flip Summon the turn he's summoned, but with this card, he can immediately use the reverse effect.
Compared to its counterpart Book of Moon, it's not a Quick-Play Spell, so it's difficult to handle, but it's still the least peculiar among the cards that can spontaneously activate reverse effects.
The price is surprisingly high, probably because there is a certain amount of demand as a combo part despite the fact that it is rarely reprinted.

Including that it is a Normal Spell, the difference in performance from the Book of the Moon, which was created at the same time as a paired existence, is huge.
In the first place, I am fully aware that the roles themselves are completely different, but it makes me feel how highly expandable the Book of Moon is, which can be used for defense, interference, and combos.
Regarding this, I think the general understanding is that it's a card that wakes up a set of metaphors that have been put to sleep over and over again.

For some reason the English name is "book of 'Taiyou'".
The book of the moon is "book of moon", so why isn't it "book of sun"?

It is exclusively used as a companion to Metapoint Kill and is used to quickly reverse.
There is also 《Desert Sunlight》that can be used in Trap and an AD changer that can be used in GY, so it is no longer necessary to use this card, but…
