Well, undead are easy to Special Summon, so it's hard to say that they're downward compatible with 《Wave-Motion Cannon》. It also has a high burn value, so I think it's still better than other similar cards.

Although it doesn't have the same name limit, it can only be activated on turn 1, so unless you set up a very elaborate bounce loop, it's a half-baked burn card, so there's little point in using it.
If it wasn't for the turn 1 limit, I think it would have turned into a one-kill mass-produced machine, so the idea of making a card that gives him burn during Special Summon may have been a mistake.

Undead are not unusable because they are often Special Summoned.
