The drawlock effect itself is powerful just by summoning it, but there are many demands and pledges, and the effectiveness of the drawlock can easily be affected by the situation.
I wonder if it would be difficult to handle in actual combat. On the other hand, it is an effect that can break as soon as it is loosened strangely, so you can feel the difficulty of adjusting the draw lock effect.

Whether it's a summon or a special summon, it's a drawlock, and if it's just this, Yatagarasu and Time Seal are also pale, but it's not adjusted so lightly that it can easily rampage.
You can only Special Summon once per turn that activates the effect, and it is difficult to manage the opponent's existing resources in that situation, and you can't make the most of the draw lock.
In the first place, Drawlock itself is a follow-up after the opponent's resources are exhausted, so if you go that far, I feel like you can win without using it.
It's an effect that will only bring about tragedy if the binding is loose, so it's just right if it's difficult to use, so this might be the correct answer.

A card that actually gives you 1 handicap just by summoning
It's not bad per se, but it's good that the restrictions are stricter and it supports Special Summon.

I think draw lock is strong because it is simply 1 add. "One thing I can say is that the Special Summon is tight." If you try to use this kind of card in the first move, it will become weaker, but this card is the most effective card to use in the late game or after you have exhausted your opponent, so you should take that into consideration when using it. .

Some people may be traumatized by writing that it's the same draw lock as Yatagarasu, but this effect is adjusted quite conservatively.
Unlike Yatagarasu, you can activate the Lock effect just by summoning it, but you can only use it once per Duel.
Furthermore, his Special Summon on the activation turn is also restricted.
Since you can't activate its effect more than once, it doesn't make much sense to have more than one in your Deck.
Fortunately, Reptile has Snake Rain, so it's relatively easy to access, but if you summon this guy in the early stages and tie the draw at the end, you'll be desperate to take a lot of damage on the return turn. It won't be strong unless it's the late game where both players have run out of cards in the quagmire, or if it's not a meta deck based on Spell Trap.

The Reptile monster used by "BIG1", one of the most skilled duelists in anime DM, who has gained tremendous support from some duelists, has become an OCG following "Ipiria".
Based on Aboriginal mythology, it is characterized by an eerie appearance like a lizard with insect legs, making it a monster that would not be created by ordinary people's senses.
Even though it is a low class monster, its effect is that it has a tremendous impact by simply putting it on the field with NS or SS to eliminate the opponent's normal draw.
However, when using this effect, there is a restriction that you can only perform one SS in that turn, so if you use it as an NS, you can only perform one more SS, and if you use it as an SS, you cannot perform another SS in that turn.
Moreover, since the effect only works when you SS alone, it is quite difficult to reduce the opponent's hand by laying down a suppression board while using this effect or by using a handicap due to a monster effect.
Drawlock is certainly powerful, but even though it is an effect that is often too late to attack second, even if you use it first, it is so strong that your opponent will have no choice but to pray for a top resolution with a normal draw. It's almost impossible to create a perfect board, and it's not as good as Yatagarasu as a card to completely nip the opponent's counterattack in the bud.
Moreover, since it can only be used once per Duel and its own stats are low, it can be said that it is a very difficult card to use strongly in a serious environment in modern Yu-Gi-Oh.
I think the most reasonable way to use this card is to set 3-4 cards such as NS and 3 or 4 cards such as offerings as the first attack of a metabi-type Deck.
Since you can SS only once, if a useful Link 1 monster other than Almira that can be converted from this card appears, the evaluation may change again.
That's why, by all means, please support the race-specific Link 1 monsters that can be produced with a single Reptile! With that, I will conclude this evaluation.
