In a situation where the opponent has multiple monsters and you also have a monster,
A trap card that has the effect of taking control of a monster other than the opponent's attack-declaring monster and making it fight when an attack is declared.
Activation requires at least 1 monster on your field and 2 monsters on your opponent's field. Even if it's decided beautifully, it's not a threat with low ATK, but it's a battle destruction, and it just stops the offensive move for a while.
Since the root is an attack reaction trap, it is quite difficult to find a reason for existence that surpasses barrier force cards. If you want to damage your opponent, there is also the option of 《Magic Cylinder》.
It's a venerable card, but it's going to be pretty difficult to master.
