The style of the illustrations is striking. I don't hate it.
Aside from the niche scope of protecting monsters from targeted effects, Ritual Monster is quite innovative in the sense that it brings Nekroz-like hand triggers to general use. The so-called meta of meta is a weak rule, so it seems a bit subtle as a veiler or escape care, but it's not a bad effect.
The effect in the crucial field is Special Summon negate & banish by returning itself to the hand. It goes without saying that it is effective against P, but considering that it is a Ritual Monster, it has the disadvantage of returning to the hand. The compatibility with Ritual Djinn, which you want to keep in play, is also the worst. 《Sprite's Blessing》, which appeared at the same time, is also a general-purpose one, so you can’t even use the preliminary preparations.
No matter how you look at it, it feels like there's little flavor to the ritual, but does that mean that (1) is the main one? Personally, as a mystery frame this time.
