In the January 2015 revision of the Great Errata Festival, most of the banned cards underwent unfortunate adjustments and some cards were not even looked at.
Before Errata, you could target your own monsters, and there were no LP restrictions, so it was the most heinous and insane card for a final blow.
After the errata, it became difficult to use it like that, but the threat of free chain no-cost monster destruction and large damage burn is still alive and well, and it's pretty good as a general-purpose trap.
Due to the change in damage processing method, it became easy to rot if not used as early as the warning, but now it refers to the original ATK, so it can be used in ways that were not possible before the errata. It is now possible to remove the timing of cards that trigger destruction.
