I was a user of it until it was banned, so I am familiar with its strength and effectiveness.
But before banning it prematurely, wouldn't there have been room to consider other measures?
I think it's the real intention of many decks that use this card as a cornerstone.
Postscript 2015/08/01
As time has passed, this card's legacy has faded and we've explored constructs that don't rely on it. I also succeeded in making the deck tougher than this guy's active days. The shock at the time was great, but it can be said that the wound was completely closed and healed. Rather, I was able to calmly analyze how viciously I was being used if I was still active.
However, even so, there are still times when FGD, Worm, and heroes who were supposed to be played with this card look lonely.
