A superior Ice Barrier monster that grants Ice Barrier monsters resistance to Spell Trap destruction. With Ice Barrier he is able to give a strong overall resistance which is one of the reasons why decks are built.
There aren't many cards that give this kind of resistance to the whole, and since this card itself is unlikely to be destroyed in battle with lesser monsters, it's good enough for his deck that relies on spells and traps for removal.
However, it is useless against bounce, removal, and monster effects, so overconfidence is prohibited. Especially in recent years, monster effects have gotten worse, and it's quite painful not to be resistant to them. It's not a light card by any means, but if you line it up with something like Gantara...
