Idiot! What a clumsy rule change!
8 points before the rule change. It's the same with being able to voluntarily activate reverse, but if you destroy it on purpose, you can pick it up again with "Spear Cretin" or "The Shallow Grave" and reverse it again. Since it's a trap, it's great that you can pick it up with 《Mask of Darkness》.
However, in the 11th period, a rule was added that cards destroyed before the effect was activated will not be processed. Since the series of flows until Mr. Ryu turns face up and destroys it is treated as an effect processing, it is considered to have been destroyed before the reverse is activated, and the reverse effect is not processed. To make matters worse, the rule that cards that are moved to a hidden area before the effect activates cannot be processed was also tampered with, and it was decided that the reverse effect could not be used even if the card was reset without being destroyed. As a result, it fell to a card that can not be used properly.
This is not very worthwhile, so please do something about errata.
