A robust Gladiator Beast bodyguard. He is good enough because he is easy to use.
With a base defensive power of 2100, being able to stop the rampaging 《Cyber Dragon》class is a big advantage. Due to changes in the environment, the stability has fallen compared to before, but since there are few Gladiator Beasts with high defensive power, they are not useless.
It would be nice to share the support for combat assistance properly.
As a drawback, first of all, there is only one thing that the original effect becomes 2400 defense. Although it's a numerical change that isn't an up, it's originally 2100, and due to the conditions, it's a face-up 2400, so the situations where this effect can be used effectively are quite limited.
Another drawback is that ATK is too low, making it difficult to actively fight. Of course, Gladiator Beast's category support can be used, but his ATK, which is less than 1000 alone, is quite painful.
Also, it is an essential card to Special Summon 《Gladiator Beast Spartacus》. It has the advantage of being able to switch between ATK and defense, so it's not a bad matchup. Fighting equipment can also be used in its own way.
If you use 《Gladiator Beast Spartacus》, you have to put hoplomus anyway.
It's less stable than when it first appeared, but it's still an excellent card that can be used in some way.
