The strongest races in Yu-Gi-Oh were said to be the undead, machines, and beasts, but they were once those who made beasts a part of the environment.
When it first appeared, it was a very annoying card that flew away as soon as the beast was destroyed. The score is also quite high. The only drawback was the high LP cost, but Beast had 《Nimble Momonga》, so I was able to cover it myself. In addition, I was able to use Giant Rat to self-destruct and send out a second body while summoning Baboon, or exploiting the disadvantage of self-destruction when defending Angry Ape Mankind.
However, 10 years after its appearance, for some reason, the text was only "destroyed by card effects" and it was unreasonably weakened. Even though it was reprinted once in DT, it was errataed. Moreover, the ruling made it impossible to get multiple cards out of a single destruction. This is despite the fact that Baboon was not rampant during this time.
In this way, Baboon, who was weakened that no one wanted, was hated as a troublesome person who took the frame of the chain, and later became the underlying cause of tilting the Gold Series.
