Valerihorn can only spawn beasts. When spawning on the top side, it must be in Attack Position.
If you put out Attack Position and switch to Xyz or Link, you won't be too concerned.

Melffy generally has 《Nimble Beaver》and Hopyear Squadron, so it would be a good idea to combine them.
There is no particular race specified, so you can pull up the growing G that uses the effect.
Most of Melffy's extras are Beast designations, but Melffy of the Forest doesn't have a race designation, so Xyz Summoning is possible there.
Also, since 《Silvervine Senri》is activated by releasing itself, the effect is still valid even under 《Skill Drain》.
You can't get 《Silvervine Senri》out of GY, but you can out of your hand.
Valerihorn or 《Silvervine Senri》, if asked which one to put in, would I choose 《Silvervine Senri》?
As an aside, when "Silvervine Senri" comes out of the pack, the card before "Silvervine Senri" is almost certainly "Maple Maiden".
In fact, I always had Silvervine Senri and Maple Maiden in the same pack and in the order I mentioned above.
