The effect of ① is to search for hero's companions in exchange for the hand cost. The Hero Deck has Rite of Aramesir, and he can't start unless he summons an Adventurer Token, so being able to bring in Water Enchantress of the Temple to search for Alamecia is a big deal. If you have already secured it, you can easily replenish your strength by calling other hero's companions and using your own effect to SS.
With the effect of ②, you can search for or directly equip the hero's Equip Spell just by having a monster appear on the field regardless of your opponent.
If the hero's Equip Spell falls into his GY, it can be automatically re-equipped to the hero, so if you use it as a cost for the effect of ① after searching with "Wandering Gryphon Rider" etc. first, you can use it without waste. and are well equipped.
