It has the effect of allowing you to Link Summon yourself during the opponent's Main Phase, and the effect of giving effect destruction resistance to cards that use itself as a Link Material.
The link material is fairly loose, so it's easy to link summon. Even on your turn, it's good enough to supply 2 diagonally down markers from loose material. Naturally, resistance can be granted by link summoning during your own turn, so you can use it as a material early when you move aggressively.
Link Summoning during your opponent's turn also functions as a way to escape other opponent's removals, as you can activate cards with trigger effects during Link Summoning, such as Troymare, during your opponent's turn.
It's a card that can be used very flexibly, and it's excellent at giving resistance to link summons that are almost unstoppable. The ability that is regarded as the top rare this time is not dated.
