"Memory of the Duel King" Deck 2017

Playing

It is a "Fighting [Yugi Deck]" that carefully selects all the cards used by Yugi and Atem in manga, anime, games, and movies, and adds a few general-purpose cards.
I added Yugi's card to the [First Duel King - Yugi Muto] I made before, and rebuilt it closer to Spellcaster.
Each card is easy to use independently and can be used as a combo, so it's a deck that's fun to use without irritating his opponent.
There is also a side of the starter deck that holds down the basics of duel, so it is easy to recommend for beginners and returners.

Strength

Let's start by bringing Dark Magician.
Recruitment by 《Palladium Oracle Mahad》, 《Skilled Dark Magician》, 《Dark Renewal》. There are plenty of ways to pull from the Deck, such as searching with 《Apprentice Illusion Magician》《Legion the Fiend Jester》.
After that, the main tactic is to use 《Thousand Knives》, 《Dedication through Light and Darkness》, 《Eternal Soul》, 《Bond Between Teacher and Student》, 《Dark Magic Twin Burst》, etc., which are exclusive support for 《Dark Magician》, and cooperate with other cards to fight.
Here are some of the combos that you will use.
① 《Breaker the Magical Warrior》+ 《Skilled Blue Magician》
The easiest and simplest combo is probably this one.
Summon "Breaker the Magical Warrior", put a magic counter on it, destroy his opponent's Spell and Trap cards, remove GY's "Skilled Blue Magician", put a magic counter on "Breaker the Magical Warrior" again, and put a magic counter on his Spell, Trap. A combo that destroys cards.
The problem is that the face-down card you want to remove will directly kill Breaker the Magical Warrior. In particular, free chain traps such as "Ring of Destruction" and "Ring of Destruction", summon reaction types such as "Bottomless Trap Hole" and "Torrential Tribute" that are probably put into many decks. I'm not good at counter traps such as 《Solemn Strike》《Solemn Warning》《Solemn Judgment》.
②《Chocolate Magician Girl》+《Lemon Magician Girl》
It is a combo that raises the development power by intertwining 《Lemon Magician Girl》with 《Chocolate Magician Girl》, which has a complete effect with one card.
With the effect of "Chocolate Magician Girl", send "Lemon Magician Girl" to his GY and draw 1. When "Chocolate Magician Girl" is selected as the attack target on the return turn, GY's "Lemon Magician Girl" is Special Summoned, ATK is halved, and the effect of "Lemon Magician Girl" is to Special Summon the Spellcaster monster in the hand while reducing ATK. It is also a combo that halves and destroys the opponent's monster whose ATK has become 1/4.
His Spellcaster monster that Special Summons with the effect of "Lemon Magician Girl" should be the original vanilla "Dark Magician", the destroyed "Palladium Oracle Mahad", and the vanilla "Dark Magician Girl".
The drawback is that it's a passive combo that doesn't start unless Chocolate Magician Girl is attacked, and it can only be activated once per turn, so it's vulnerable to a second attack. Please be aware that this is public information and is intended to be exposed.
As an aside, I would like to mention that the illustrations of "Chocolate Magician Girl" and "Lemon Magician Girl" are paired, and depending on the placement, you can make them look friendly or not.

③《Brain Control》+《Metamorphortress》
It is a combo that steals the opponent's monster with "Brainwash - Plane Control" and equips it to "Metamorphortress". Commonly known as "borrowed paku combo"
It is a multi-attack combo that uses 《Brain Control》to steal a monster from his opponent that can be Normal Summoned, and then activates 《Metamorphortress》to equip the stolen monster and perform a follow-up attack.
The difficulty is that he can only take normal summon monsters with Brain Control. Since it's a combo based on 《Brain Control》, the errata is pretty tough.

Here are some explanations for cards you may be wondering why I included them.
①《Charging Gaia the Fierce Knight》
This card is a remake of 《Gaia The Fierce Knight》, one of Atem's main cards.
The anime DM uses a remake card called 《Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight》, and the movie uses a remake card called 《Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight》.
Its role is to release and search for Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, or equip Metamorphortress after Compromise Summoning to immediately prepare 3300 RBI.
The way to release him is to release him with 《Magical Dimension》when he has a Spellcaster monster on the field, or to make him a normal high-level monster release agent.

In this Deck, there are only 《Apprentice Illusion Magician》and 《Metamorphortress》, so it is relatively important.

This card is used by Yugi in the fighting ceremony of the anime DM. I used it as the cost of Tribute Summon for Summoned Skull and added Marshmallon to my hand as an effect.
It's a target for 《Apple Magician Girl》, and at the same time, I put it in because it's versatile enough to search for various "Magician Girl". (excluding 《Dark Magician Girl》)
I don't want to put in a monster general-purpose card as much as possible, but this time it's a card that Yugi actually used, so I put it in.

⑦《Magicians' Defense》
This card was used by Yugi in the movie Yugi vs Kaiba when Lemon Magician Girl was attacked by Deep-Eyes White Dragon to reduce damage.
In the movie, he only had a damage reduction effect, but when he was converted to OCG, a Spellcaster monster resurrection effect was added.
The only way to actively send him to GY is to destroy it with the effect of "Breaker the Magical Warrior", but since it is a deck with many troublesome traps such as "Holy Barrier - Mirror Force-", it will be destroyed if set as a bluff. I have something for you.
The damage reduction effect is also excellent, and Spiritual Swords of Revealing Light will cover the decreasing LP.

Weakness

Like the original, it's difficult to activate the combo you're aiming for due to the Highlander configuration.
Low average ATK. The maximum RBI is 3000 with 《Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning》.
There is only one 《Dark Magician》. However, there are 5 exclusive cards for 《Dark Magician》. The probability of an accident is higher, but since this Deck is not a [Dark Magician] but a [Game Deck], it can't be helped to some extent.
Some people may say, "This isn't a [Yu-Gi-Deck]" because I put in a general-purpose card, but if I faithfully reproduced the original, he wouldn't be able to play the deck.
If you look at the recipe for [First Duel King - Yugi Muto] that I made before, you can see how it will look like. A deck that doesn't spin is boring and above all rude to your opponent.

Customize

If you want to have more fun, you might want to try putting God cards 《Obelisk the Tormentor》《Slifer the Sky Dragon》in his deck of 40 cards. I think the "Magician Girl" card will be useful as a release agent.
In that case, I think it would be more stable to have a 40 deck + 1 god card or a 40 deck + 2 god cards.
You can change 《Thousand Knives》to 《Dark Magic Attack》.
If you use the EX Deck, let's use one of them as 《The Eye of Timaeus》. 《Polymerization》is too unstable. It's up to you what to remove.
