The effect is to negate his ATK 0 monster that he defeated in battle, but since it is a Special Summon in the Defense Position, basically during the battle phase, the stolen monster cannot follow up, negate the effect. Therefore, it is difficult to use the effects of stolen monsters.
This effect is used as a bonus when used as a mere attacker, but there are fewer effects that refer to Reptilianne than you think, and there is almost no advantage to having a Reptilianne name at present, so in that case, you will need to use other card effects to use the effect. Rather than using this indispensable slow monster, it would be better to use other more useful dark or reptilian attackers, or cards that synergize with capable Reptiliannes.
The Goyo effect itself is a battle destruction trigger, so it's not a bad thing that you can get a board add without spending anything, and with the appearance of Dark Honest, using the effect has become much easier.

It's level 4, so it's easy to use to get Lamia out.
However, nowadays, it is more preferable to connect with large attackers than to fight with low-level attackers, so we can not expect much effect including Reptilianne's physical strength.
It's a bit disappointing that even Lamia and Echiduna don't use this card and just use external cards.
