You can add destruction resistance to your own monsters, but it is difficult to make use of it because the activation trigger is special summon from his GY.
Even though it's the end phase, it's not so bad that it returns to your hand if it's banished, but it's too late to do anything, so it doesn't make sense to include it in the Deck.
