Basically, the recruit effect is more pleasing on your own turn, but if there is a face that can be revived under loose conditions like Kernel, it will be canceled to some extent.
However, with his current Machina, there are honestly only a few cards that I want to put out on the opponent's turn at level 8 or lower, including myself, as Fortress.

If you use Machina alone, it's difficult to access the kernel, so I can't give it a very high rating, but if you combine it with a train, it's different. If you line up Bullet Liner or Derrick Lane with this card, you can destroy them and connect them to the Kernel. Since trains can search for kernels with deployment maneuvers, there are plenty of ways to search for Machina, which is a hand cost. I think the Train Machine version is the build where the true strength of this card can be demonstrated.
